Last month my friend Anna Begonia asked me to help her in planning a session for Tesol Evo course TLVW 2010 as we did last year. I was very proud to give my contribution for a so generous group. I’ve learned a lot and received support from the members of this group and so I’m happy to share my knowledge with them.
The next stage was to think about the content. Due to the experience of the last year when we organized an event about Italian carnival we decided not to focus on language because only a few participants could understand Italian. It was so that we planned a session about culture. We looked for an Italian land where the meeting could take place and we found a new land Città Ideale that looked good both for anna and me. Anna got in touch with the owners of this land, Ketty D’agostino and Jo Magic and then we started to plan what to do, how and when.
Anna and me kept in touch by email and in SL and we had an exchange of opinions. At the end we decided to plan the event in 2 parts:
During the 1st part Anna planned a scavenger hunt in the main area of Città Ideale. In this way participants learnt more about Renaissance and Ideal City. At the last step of this hunt they teleported to the Italian gardens where Misy and her team perfomed the song "The Triumph of Bacchus" in an open theatre. After the performance participants were engaged in a game about the song and Renaissance. The event was given in two days:
February 18 from 10am to 11:30am
February 19 from 9pm to 10:30pm
Participants were great and interested in our activities. It was a great fun for us and I hope they had fun as well. I want to thank the owners of Citta’ Ideale and their friends (a special thank to TZN86 Blinker), TLVW participants and mentors and last but not least my dear friend anna Begonia…she is a vulcan of energy and ideas.
See you all next year and enjoy this video!
